Description:
TRANSPARENT MUSEUM
Accompanying book on the presentation, documentation, reflection, evaluation and context of a pilot project | 119 pages | softcover | German-English edition

The Hamburger Kunsthalle is breaking new ground with its Transparent Museum presentation: as a result of the great attention the Transparent Museum has received, a publication has now appeared in which the experiences and results to date are documented, evaluated and reflected upon. In doing so, the Kunsthalle is responding to the wishes of numerous multipliers and experts from a wide range of museums and universities to make the conceptual processes, the insights gained and the reactions to the project transparent. The comprehensive publication Transparent Museum. Documentation, Reflection, Evaluation and Context of a Pilot Project is bilingual (German/English) and is now available as a print edition and as a free open-access version for all interested parties. This is the first time that the Hamburger Kunsthalle has made an academic publication freely available online via the specialist portal arthistoricum.net. The authors are both young and renowned researchers who draw attention to this special exhibition and mediation project and its possible further development. With this publication, the Kunsthalle is making an important contribution to the (self-)educational processes of visitors, but above all to the museum institution itself on its path of opening up and constant renewal.
