catalogue for presentation of the collection | 44 pages | 18 illustrations | softcover | german edition

The Norwegian painter Edvard Munch created his first printed works in 1894 during his early Berlin period. One of his first prints was the etching “The Sick Child”. With it, Munch took up the painting of the same name, which he had completed eight years earlier after what has since been reconstructed as a lengthy and torturous creative process, a key image of the beginning of modernism.
