HISTORY OF HAMBURG

A new book about the history of Hamburg? Has it changed? Of course not. Although there have been some astonishing discoveries in the recent past, especially about the first centuries of the city, that was not the decisive factor, but the idea of telling the story in a different way. And so this book is not structured chronologically, but arranged according to themes: Urban development, politics, culture, education, traffic... and enriched with many small biographies. So it doesn't have to be read from front to back to understand it, each chapter tells its own stories.
Sven Kummereincke is a journalist, so he writes as entertainingly and interestingly as possible, but still true to the facts.
